There are 10 bedrooms arranged across three floors, with a mix of super king, double, single, bunk and flexible configurations. Several bedrooms can be adapted to twins or alternative arrangements by prior request.

Yes. Two travel cots and highchairs are available at the property. Please mention any requirements for babies or toddlers in your enquiry so we can help plan the most suitable layout.

Yes. When you book Heather Brae, the entire house and grounds are private to your group for the full duration of your stay. There are no other guests, no shared facilities and no fixed schedules to work around.

Yes. Heather Brae has two outdoor hot tubs available to guests throughout their stay.

Yes. There is an all-weather tennis court within the private grounds, available to all guests.

The enclosed rear garden includes a lawn, terrace, outdoor furniture, two hot tubs, a barbecue, a treehouse, a rope swing, bike storage and an all-weather tennis court — plenty of space for groups of all ages to spread out and enjoy the outdoors.

Heather Brae is a non-smoking property. Smoking is not permitted inside the house.

Yes. Heather Brae is decorated for the Christmas period, creating a festive atmosphere for family gatherings, celebrations and group stays over the holiday season.

Heather Brae welcomes a wide range of groups — from multi-generational family gatherings and milestone celebrations to corporate retreats, walking and cycling parties, sporting groups, wellness stays and private group weekends. The house is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay.

Heather Brae is well suited to celebrations and private group occasions — milestone birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and similar events. Hen and stag parties are welcome with prior approval from the owner. We ask that all events remain respectful of the property and the surrounding area, and observe a quiet period after 10pm. Specific requirements should be discussed in advance.

Heather Brae is not a licensed wedding venue and cannot host civil ceremonies on site. However, it can work well as exclusive-use wedding accommodation — providing a private and beautiful base for the wedding party before or after a ceremony held elsewhere. Yes — Heather Brae is primarily a self-catering property. The kitchen is large, well equipped and designed for group cooking. For groups who want a more hosted experience, private chef introductions and local catering arrangements may be available by prior enquiry.

An executive chef can be arranged for your stay, and a local craft brewery can deliver directly to the house. Both require advance notice — please contact us well before your arrival date to make arrangements.

Yes. Supermarket deliveries can be arranged to arrive at Heather Brae on your arrival day. As part of our Complimentary Arrival Service, we will accept your delivery, unpack your shopping and ensure refrigerated and frozen items are properly stored — so everything is ready when you arrive. Please let us know in advance that you have arranged a delivery, including the supermarket name and your confirmed time slot. Deliveries should be booked between 11:00am and 1:00pm.

Yes. We are happy to suggest local activities and make introductions to our recommended providers. From fly fishing and clay shooting to cycling, horse riding and private dining, the area around Heather Brae offers a wide range of options. Yes. The kitchen at Heather Brae is designed for large group stays. It features a professional range cooker, generous preparation space, two full dining tables and everything needed for group cooking — from large pots and pans to all the appliances you would expect.

Heather Brae is a dog-friendly property. Please let us know if you plan to bring your dog when making your enquiry so we can confirm the arrangements before your booking. Dogs must remain on the ground floor of the house and be kept on a lead when in the garden.

Yes. There is off-road parking for up to 10 cars at the property.

Yes. Fresh towels and bed linen are provided for all guests.

Standard check-in is from 4:00pm on your arrival day, and check-out is by 10:00am on your departure day. Please let us know your arrival plans in advance so we can be prepared for your group.

Early arrivals or late departures may be possible depending on the booking schedule. Please ask when you enquire and we will do our best to accommodate your plans.

The rental price covers exclusive use of the entire house, grounds and facilities for your group — including the hot tubs, tennis court, all bedrooms and communal spaces. Towels, bed linen, and fuel, power and kindling for the woodburning stove are all included. Food, drink and any additional services arranged through our Concierge are not included in the base rental price.

Most bookings are for a minimum of three nights. Shorter stays may be available — please enquire if you have specific requirements.
